Notre Dame High School is a friendly and safe environment for all who enters it. With its small population many people are friends throughout the grades. It is also helpful to see familiar faces all over the school. The class sizes are extremely helpful when it comes to grasping topics due to the teachers being able to help everyone individually. There is also a slight competition in most everything we do, a great motivator for everyone to do their best.

Notre Dame High School, Elmira, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, seeks to prepare students for college by providing a challenging academic environment that stimulates students intellectually, physically, and spiritually, in a community that respects a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives, thus inspiring life-long learners, critical thinkers, and compassionate, responsible citizens of the world.
