Mr. Wise is an Eagle Scout who was raised locally and graduated from Corning-Painted Post West High. He attended Corning Community College (A.S.- Liberal Arts), SUNY College at Cortland (B.A.- Secondary Education/Social Studies), and New York State University at Plattsburgh (M.S.- Curriculum Design and Instruction). While in college, he was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. He is currently working on completing a Graduate Certificate of Study in Government. Mr. Wise has 24 years of teaching experience, mostly in the public schools. He has taught at all grade levels from 6th to 12th grade during his career while working with students ranging from special education, to at risk students, to honors students. Over the years he has taught Global History, United States History and Government, Law, Criminal Justice, and Microsoft Office. He currently teaches Global History I, United States History and Government, the 60s, and ACE American Federal Government. In addition to teaching, Mr. Wise co-advises the Chess Club. He has coached cross country, indoor track, outdoor track, and soccer at all scholastic levels and has eight undefeated seasons, ten league championships, and was a part of a state championship coaching staff. He currently is the head coach for the Notre Dame cross country and outdoor track teams.​
