Tom is a graduate of Elmira Catholic Schools, Elmira Free Academy, Corning Community College, Albany State University, and Binghamton University.  He retired in 2019 after teaching  Chemistry for over 31 years in area high schools.  He served as advisor and coach to numerous Chem Bowl Teams, Quiz Teams, and  Mock Trial Teams. Tom is permanently certified in New York State to teach Chemistry, Biology, and General Science.

In his earlier days, Tom was an active thespian.  He performed on local stages with many different theatrical organizations (one of his first appearances was on the stage at ND).

Currently, Tom is an adjunct instructor at Corning Community College and a member of the Elmira Town Board.  He is a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.  He is a communicant of The Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish where he has served as a lector for over 30 years; beginning at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Tom and his wife, Ellen Danaher Milliken (’83) often now “shuffle off to Buffalo” to visit their four children.  Thomas, Jr. and Maureen work in the accounting field.  Paul and Patrick study engineering at the University at Buffalo.

Both the Milliken and Danaher families have a long association with Notre Dame High School.

Tom is thrilled to be back walking the halls of ND!
