Ms. Mack was born and raised in Elmira, NY and attended Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Patrick’s Jr High and Notre Dame High School (Class of 1985). She attended Misericordia University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. Ms. Mack taught in an Alternative High School for students with special needs in Morristown, New Jersey from 1990-2004. She then relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she taught 7th & 8th grade ELA and Math inclusion until 2012. Additionally, she was recruited by The College Board to consult and act as a National Trainer for their Pre AP Spring Board Program, She served for 10 years as a Lead Trainer and traveled across the US (primarily in the summer months) to train both general education and special education ELA teachers in order for more students to have access at AP courses once they attended high school.

In 2014 Ms. Mack earned a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Principal Certification from Winthrop University in Rock Hill , South Carolina. She served as a Professional Development Facilitator for Charlotte Mecklenburg schools, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal. Ms. Mack moved to New York City in 2014 and became Assistant Principal of Coney Island Prep, a public charter school serving students living in poverty. Most recently, Ms. Mack was a founding member of Kipp Newark Community Prep where she served as the Assistant Principal of Special Education and Instruction.

She is thrilled to be back in her home town and alma mater. Ms. Mack is a huge basketball fan, loves to read and attend live theater. She has a 7 month old English Golden Retriever named George that she adores.

Through all of her experiences she has prided herself on providing equitable service to every child and family she works with. She brings 30+ years of educational experience to serve her Alma Mater and hometown!
