Mr. Mitchell graduated from Mansfield University with a B.S. in Geoscience, and grew to be fascinated with rocks, fossils, and rock formations most people just drive by. After graduating, Sam coached middle school soccer for several years where he developed a passion for helping students improve and excel. Sam teaches Science 8, Earth Science, and Environmental Science

For fun, Sam likes to read a book, play guitar, or write. His favorite book series is “The Wheel of Time” by Robert Jordan, and his favorite song to play is “Visions of Johanna” by Bob Dylan.

Sam currently lives south in Wellsboro, PA.
