Jenica Drehmer.jpg

This is Jenica’s twenty-third year of teaching English, and she still loves it as much as when she started. Jenica has her MA and BA in English, both from SUNY New Paltz, where she majored in Hemingway studies in graduate school and attended international Hemingway conferences with Hemingway’s son and grandson. She spent a semester in India in college and has also traveled to Nepal, England, France, Spain, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic and brings her love of travel, adventure, and epiphany to her classroom.

Jenica previously taught English at SUNY New Paltz, Elmira College, Empire State College, and Corning Community College, where she also served as an academic advisor. She currently teaches at Keuka College in their English department.

Jenica’s loves include writing, reading, poetry, photography, and gardening. She owns her own fair trade business and also volunteers for a local dog rescue. Jenica grew up in Corning and now resides in Elmira with her husband and two daughters and small family zoo.
